Safe Sanctuaries Training

Safe Sanctuaries training is required by the Upper New York Annual Conference for anyone who volunteers in a position with regular and direct contact with children, youth, or vulnerable adults.  It is also an excellent opportunity for any, and all, member(s) of the congregation to gain awareness of how we can best protect every person who gathers in our midst for worship or to participate in ministry activities.  Expect engaging learning stations to facilitate small group discussions that offer vital information and best practices for carrying out the Safe Sanctuaries policies of the United Methodist Church.
Conference Safe Sanctuary Training is a one-time requirement, so if you have not been trained between 2016 and 2022, this opportunity is for you.  If you are unsure or have questions, please contact Bonnie Blair.
