Universal Christ Group – Book Discussion

Beginning Mar. 4, the Universal Christ Group will explore How to Read the Bible & Still Be a Christian by John Dominic Crossan, Mondays from 1–2PM on Zoom. Rev. Jane Sautter will facilitate. Crossan takes on the topic of scripture’s presentation of two conflicting versions of God: one loving, and one vengeful. By looking at how writers of different books not only possessed different visions of God, but also had different purposes for writing, Crossan explains how to navigate the question, “Is God violent?” He challenges Christians to fully participate in the dialogue, offering opportunity to strengthen both understanding and faith. Newcomers are ALWAYS welcome! Books available in the south vestibule: suggested donation $10.
