August 6 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am
Join in worship amidst the beauty of God’s creation beginning this week. We’ll be in Myers Park, Pavilion D, at 9:30 AM on Sunday mornings 7/9–8/13. If you don’t have a park pass, let the park entrance staff know you’re coming for worship. If you are a resident of Lansing and would like a park pass, the entrance staff can give you one free, with proof of your address (driver’s license or piece of mail addressed to your Lansing residence).
We are embarking on a journey during our time of worship in the park. It is a journey about journeying, about traveling as a spiritual act. Whether you travel far away or simply begin to see your local surroundings as if for the first time, “pilgrimage” has long been a spiritual practice, and “journey” is a deeply-felt metaphor for our spiritual lives. “Quest” comes from the Latin root meaning “ask” and “seek.” This worship series focusing will encourage us to open ourselves more fully to the curiosity and wonder, reflection, and transformation that travelers—not merely tourists—experience when we choose to immerse ourselves in soul-widening adventures.
