February 25 @ 9:30 am
Special song by our choir for February 25: “Sheep, Sheep, Don’t You Know the Road” is a traditional song coming to us from Bessie Jones and the Georgia Sea Islands Singers. This song (or a version of it) was first collected by Alan Lomax in 1960. The Georgia Sea Islands are the home of Gullah people whose language and culture remained African-influenced because of geographic isolation and the influence of community.
Lyrics for Sheep, Sheep, Don’t You Know the Road. More information about the Gullah.
Theme for the second week of Lent, The Temple: Risking Righteous Anger
Worship in person in the Sanctuary every Sunday at 9:30 am.
