Intergenerational Sunday School Event on MLK weekend
Sunday, January 19, 10:30 am
All ages are invited to an Intergenerational Sunday School experience where we will explore and listen to an excerpt of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s last sermon titled, “The Drum Major Instinct.” We will talk in intergenerational “family” groups about being a servant, and put our servanthood into action by doing a service project for Woodsedge residents. This will be a meaningful time for children, youth, and adults to get to know each other and serve together.
Special Youth Group: Sunday, January 19: Youth group will meet from 4:00pm–5:00pm instead of the usual 5:30-7:00pm. It is a mandatory meeting for all youth who want to attend the SOLID retreat at Casowasco. Chaperones Bill and Sandy Dhimitri will meet with the group at 4:30pm. All youth are welcome to come and do theater skits, and all youth are encouraged to stay for pizza and the Haiti Committee Movie Night, which begins at 5:00pm.
